The drive from Sonoma to SFO
From Sonoma, SFO is about 59 miles — usually 80 to 100 minutes, depending on San Francisco and Marin traffic. Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings are the busiest.
The usual way is CA-121 and CA-37 to US-101 in Novato, then south through Marin, across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the city to the airport. When it is quicker, we go east to I-80 and the Bay Bridge instead.
